Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2025-08-08T19:12Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
GOES: CCOR-1
Activity ID: 2025-08-08T19:12:00-CME-001 (version 1)
Source Location: S20W55
Active Region Number: 14173
Note Keyword:
Source Signature Keyword:
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
Morphology Keyword:
L: Loop
LS: Loop and Shock Candidate
Note: CME seen to the WSW in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and GOES CCOR-1. Seen to the SW as a partial halo in STEREO A COR2. Source is rapidly opening field lines from AR 14173 (S18W52), spanning from S20W50 to S20W60, starting at 2025-08-08T18:52Z as seen in SDO AIA 171. A post-eruptive arcade is also seen from the eruption site shortly thereafter. A secondary possible contributing source is subtle dimming and field line movement seen from AR 14168 (N05W47), with the dimming spanning N00 to N05 and from W45 to W55, starting at about 2025-08-08T18:24Z as seen in SDO AIA 193.

The List of CME Analysis already entered:
Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type
